A Rosary Meditation … The First Glorious Mystery, the Resurrection. “Do not be afraid; for I know that you seek Jesus, who was crucified.” Here an angel of God gives us a real recipe for overcoming fear. Seeking Jesus, with the understanding that He was crucified for us, for our sins, and believing that we can search for Him now AND find Him because death didn’t, couldn’t hold Him. Seeking Jesus, where do we start? Well, does He have followers now, today? Sure, they’re referred to in the Bible as His “Body”. Find His Body and you find Him. Find His Body of followers and you’ll find more than a purely spiritual entity. Any REAL body here on earth is made up of flesh and blood. The Church is not only a body of spirit. If it was it would be incomplete. It is physical as well, having very real persons and parts as well as a Spirit, the Holy Spirit. And this earthly Body of His still wouldn’t be complete with out His presence, His REAL presence. If He wasn’t with it, Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, how would it, how COULD it be His Body? Seek Jesus and you’ll find Him. You’ll find Him in a COMPLETE reality with all necessary components. Proving that He lives, proving the power of His Resurrection. After looking for, finding, and becoming a part of Jesus where is there any room left for fear?

Today … Lets do something different. Lets not look to the past for a saint, lets look to the future. Hopefully the near future. If, in finding Jesus, we become a part of His Body the Church and we take part in His Body, the Real Presence, we will become one with Him. If we are honestly one with Him we will be a part of Him and not apart from Him. Being a part of Him we (YOU) will be what? And there’s your fearless future-tense saint.

Prayer … Pray for our next “limelight” saint. Pray for our new pope, whoever he is.
